Bethesda is now Ridgeway Church
Same vision, new name. In 2016, Bethesda Christian Fellowship became Ridgeway Church.
Why the new name
The change from Bethesda Christian Fellowship to Ridgeway Church in 2016 started a new chapter for our congregation. Ridgeway means a path of great antiquity. The name reflects our gratitude for the foundations our church was built on and for God’s faithfulness through the years.
We’re excited about what’s ahead as we continue our mission to reach our city and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
A church with deep roots
Ridgeway Church (formerly Bethesda Christian Fellowship) was founded in October of 1949 by Pastor Norman Peterson Sr. In 1976, the leadership of the church was handed over to Norman Peterson Jr.
In 1990, Pastor Norm was joined by his son and daughter-in-law, Pastor Bryan and Debbie Peterson. They co-pastored alongside him for nearly a decade. Pastor Bryan and Debbie have since taken over the leadership of the church and are the current pastors of Ridgeway Church.
